Marc Bolan biography In this definitive new biography Paul Roland chronicles the life and music of the vibrato-voiced glam rock idol and 20th century boy who created some of the most instantly appealing and enduring songs of the 70s -- 'Ride A White Swan', "Hot Love', 'Get It On', 'Telegram Sam', 'Children of the Revolution' and 'Solid Gold Easy Action' -- in what appears to have been a fevered rush to cheat Fate. This is the incredible story of Marc Bolan's roller-coaster rise to fame and his resurrection as the self-styled 'Godfather of Punk' that promised to put him back on top until the fatal accident which cut short his life and hopes of a comeback.
"Paul Roland has written the definitive book about Marc Bolan; an overdue reassessment of his sadly short but significant part in rock and roll history." From the foreword by Andy Ellison
Nuremburg Trials This book includes extracts from the trial transcripts and testimony including dramatic cross-examinations as the accused come face to face with their accusers, as well as contemporary news reports and extracts from interviews with the accused conducted by American psychiatrist Leon Goldensohn while they were awaiting trial. A definitive account of the most infamous trials of the last century.
"Roland's compelling account [of the Nuremberg Trials] is highly readable and finely, often shockingly, illustrated." Professor Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke, University of Exeter
I have never claimed exclusive access to previously unpublished police reports as the Amazon product description states - that was an error by an over enthusiastic publishers assistant! I do however name a brand new suspect and - I believe - I have made a convincing case for naming him. I pride myself on doing a thorough job of research on every book I write and making the text entertaining and informative. The book has a good balance of historical source material (some of which will not be familiar to the general reader such as the Crowley connection) and I have made short shrift of some of the more preposterous claims (the Royal Conspiracy, Sickert etc).
"Roland is a complete master of his subject." Colin Wilson (author of 'The Occult'
Nazis and the Occult This secret history of the Third Reich reveals the extent of Hitler's obsession with the occult and the Nazis' fascination with
symbols of arcane power such as The Ark of the Covenant and the Spear of Destiny. It explains how an ill-educated, psychologically unbalanced
nonentity mesmerised an entire nation, why the German people venerated their Fuhrer as a god and how he exercised his power over them so that they would willingly follow him to the abyss of self-destruction.
The Dark History of the Occult Black magic murders, Satanic sex cults and demonic possession - these are the diabolical practices that grab the tabloid headlines and reinforce the myth that evil and an unhealthy obsession with the occult are to blame for our increasingly violent society. But is the truth even darker and more disturbing? This book includes detailed accounts of animal sacrifice, exorcisms and the influence of Satanism in today's world, from rock music and ritual murders in the USA to black magic ceremonies and other necromantic practices worldwide. The Dark History of the Occult examines whether Satanic Forces are simply the emergence of the dark side of human nature, or whether we really do have something to fear.

Kabbalah has a reputation for being archaic, impenetrable, infinitely complex and even deliberately obscure. I created the Kabbalah Cards in order to prove that it is both of practical use in everyday life and, in essence, divinely simple so that everyone, regardless of their background or belief can benefit from this ageless universal wisdom. By using the cards in spreads similar to those used in tarot readings anyone who wishes to can discover the underlying themes of their life and the means by which they can overcome difficulties and make the most of their opportunities.
In addition the pack can also be used as a visual aid for a journey of self-exploration using the Kabbalistic Tree of Life as a symbolic map of the psyche.

It took me a lot of persuading to convince Hamlyn to publish this practical 'how to be psychic' work book but it has proven to be my most successful title so far. It got me into the pages of national newspapers such as the 'Daily Mail' and onto TV (Channel 4's 'Ultimate Psychic Challenge'). Again, it offers safe and simple exercises for developing heightened self-awareness and for exploring our innate psychic abilities.

How to use meditation to deal with various problems such as bereavement, anger, guilt, sleep disorders and minor mental, emotional and physical ailments.

A small pocket guide to the benefits of meditation culled from material used in 'How To Meditate' and 'Meditation Solutions'.

This project fulfilled another burning ambition - to have my say on every album that I liked and some that I didn't (but which the publisher wanted covered). It was a major headache at the time (100,000 words being the equivalent of two books) and I was looking after my two young children at the same time. But the jokes are good and my writing was improving considerably by this time.

Writing this gave me the opportunity to order my thoughts and compile my original meditation exercises under one cover. It was one of my most successful titles selling more than 50,000 in the first 6 months.
