PRAS Christmas Newsletter 2009

Great news! The ‚Duel’ 20th anniversary re-issue and the ‘Grimm’ novel will both be ready on December 20. The album now sounds better than ever with the master’s “subtle but significant” retouching and a redesigned booklet with notes and lyrics adding that final touch of class to one of Paul’s best albums.
The PRAS will have only a very limited quantity of the album and the book, so if you want to order a copy you can do so NOW. We will try to post all orders before Christmas but there is the possibilty that the Christmas post will be slow, so please be patient.
The book, ‘The Magician of Grimm’, is set in the same fantasy kingdom as the songs on the album and was written for the first PRAS newsletter back in 1993 which printed it in parts, one or two chapters per issue, but this is the first time the story has been published in book form. It will be a limited edition printing of just 200 copies. Paul’s German label Syborg Music will be packaging the first 100 copies of the CD with the book, 50 will be used for promotion and the PRAS will have just 50 copies, so if you want the book you will have to be quick!
It was our intention to offer the book for sale as an extra item, but Paul has decided that he would like to make it a Christmas present to all members who already own ’Duel’ in one of its earlier editions. He doesn’t like the idea that people feel they have to own every version of an album, but he knows that some serious collectors will buy multiple copies of the same album if they are even slightly different. So if you bought one of the earlier editions of ‘Duel’ on CD and you want to buy the 20th anniversary reissue you will receive a FREE copy of the book. But only the first 50 orders will receive the free book.

Price of the ‘Duel’ CD is 10 GBP (UK) or 10 euros. Postage is free.

* NOTE – Anyone who bought the ‘Demos’ CD from the PRAS at the intial price of 20 euros/20 GBP is entitled to 5 euros (or 5 GBP) reduction on any CD from the PRAS.
So if you want the ‘Duel’ reissue and you bought the ‘Demos’ CD from the PRAS for 20 euros earlier this year you will only have to send 5 euros for ‘Duel’.
Postscript:
Paul will write a full newsletter for us to email in January but he asked us to say that he was very happy to see his music used in a number of video clips on You Tube recently made by people who have added their own visual images to his songs (see links below) and he would like to see more if anyone would like to create a video clip for any of his songs. Paul owns the copyright on all his music so there is no copyright problems in using his music in your own You Tube videos.
